Both. A very popular game in America (where I live) is Angry Birds. That uses an open source game engine called BOX2D created by Erin Cato. I wanted to follow the steps of Angry Birds, and make my own game using an open source engine. That's the thing that lured me into Open Surge. Eventually I joined the forums for advice and tips, then I got interested in the game itself until I wanted to help. That's basically the whole reason why I'm talking to you guys right now.

It's just a great dream! smile
I wish you good luck!

Re: <important> new development philosophy

Thank you. Open Surge is like a launch pad for my dream ever since I played Sonic 3K! I plan to go to EMCC (computer programing course) learn C, then help improve the engine (I'm not sure Open Surge will still exist in 2014-2017). Then eventually go to college, learn how to create a 3D engine, then work for a popular game company in scripting, art, and even music. I really like good music.
