Topic: .sfark files help

I got some new soundfonts (not being used for this game), but I cannot extract them. At all.

Any programs I can use that are SAFE?

Yeah, I saw that. But I just wanted to know if it was safe.

Re: .sfark files help

Whenever I use sfArk it outputs the files into .wim format and in order to use the files in LMMS they need to be in MIDI format. Is there any way to change the output format or is there a seperate converter that anyone knows of to convert the .wim files to the MIDI?

i believe you are making a bit of a confusion here.

SF2 is one of today's default Soundfont format (DLS is another one but let's no make any more confusion)

SFARK is a compressed SF2, in other words, it's "the ZIP/RAR of soundfonts". When you uncompress, it should output SF2.

MIDI is a method to store/transmit signal sequences. MIDI can be used to trigger Soundfont notes at a certain pitch, volume, etc.

Thus a Soundfont is not convertable to MIDI, as it makes no sense to "convert a piano into a music CD".

What you probably want to do, is load a MIDI sequence in LMMS, load one soundfont for each MIDI track, and export a sound file where the soundfont plays one or more instruments specified in the MIDI file.

let me know how it goes, and if this helps smile
