Hello.
I'm designing a image and I can't show the transparent color. I tried pink and transparent color (png) but I run Open Sonic and it shows pink and black color. I use GIMP. I don't now why.
Please, some suggestion?

Try saving it in BMP instead of png, but depending on what you're modifying you'll have to modify the sprite.def file as well. And also if you have GIMP you can delete the background and make it transparent. Try that and save as png as well.

BMP is ok!.
Thanks.

Welcome, JorgeRubira
As Felicia_Val has said, saving your file as .bmp works.
If you're able to compile the game from the source code, please grab the latest revision from the SVN repository. This bug has been fixed already - and you will be able to use .png's

Thanks Alexandre.
For the moment, i'm going to finish my first "beta zone" and after i'll try to compile and change to PNG format.
As soon as i'll have something playable, i'll upload it.

By the way, there is an alternative that requires Paint (won't work if you don't have Windows). Open the file with Paint and copy ALL of the picture to a new file. recolor the magenta to make sure it's right, then save it in the same .png format with the same name. After that, it should work (it always works for me).
Your teacher asks you. What to answer? Say this:
"I thought the teacher is supposed to know."
