SourceForge has co-operated with the US government to BLOCK users in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria (so called 'terror' countries).
This hampers open source development, and in some cases prevents coders accessing projects they have worked on.
Open Sonic is distributed by SourceForge, so maybe we should find an alternative.
Consider this, if a foreign government wants to use open source code they have the resources to get around this. For a civilian coder it may well be harder.
