Topic: More boss questions

Hello!

First I'd like to say that I've been making lots of progress on Vista's Afterlife: The Game. I'm currently working on the final boss and wanted to make it something special, so here's what I'm wondering:

How do you add, say a small button onto a boss, which would damage it when hit? A good example of this would be the Big Wolf boss in Open Surge, but I want to add something like that to a custom boss.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make two objects; one is the button, the other is the boss. The button will communicate the boss whenever it gets hit (say, via change_parent_state). The boss will animate itself when it gets hit. smile

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I just found the API reference page on the Open Surge Wiki, so I'll check there before questioning anything else.

Also, I have a way better idea than just hitting a button on the boss. I'll get some screenshots when it's done. smile
