Not active much anymore.
The only things I do now is just let inspiration come to me when it's needed.
Also bad profile pic because I don't have anything else in mind.

Re: having trouble

did you get the linux version?
if so you need to run opensurge_bin. If it doesn't run, go to the file properties and mark it as executable, then try again.

if you have the sources, then yes, you need to compile.

Re: having trouble

i have the linux version, i also clicked and marked opensurge as executable.
so do i need to compile it?.
--------------------------------------
where is the instructions to compile it?. i forgot hmm.
---------------------------------------
it says "isreal9:$ cmake /home/isreal9/Desktop/24xfsal/opensurge-linux-build760
CMake Error: The source directory "/home/isreal9/Desktop/24xfsal/opensurge-linux-build760" does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt.
Specify --help for usage, or press the help button on the CMake GUI."

what does this mean?

Re: having trouble

actually i have the same problem. opensurge_bin does not run.

It's better to compile it from the source code. Download the sources and follow the instructions in readme.html. Like said in another topic, you may need to download some libraries, to that i recommend a package manager such as Synaptic. Just see what the results of cmake are, and download the missing libraries.

Have you downloaded the source code (opensurge-linux-build760 sounds like a binary version)? The source code should contain a CMakeList.txt, so if you're sure, you don't have a binary version, you may have deleted it. The source code also contains a readme.html, which lists every software you should install before using cmake. Please download it again and install the dependencies before compiling.

Source Code:

Kind regards,
Jano

Re: having trouble

did it compile without errors?

can you post a screenshot of your folder, so we can see which files you have?

Re: having trouble

alright might have to do that later, because my internet is down so i'm using someone else internet.

---------
the other reason i could'nt compile was because it said there was no Cmake(something).txt
i couldn't compile, is the file somewhere else?.
