Topic: Cut scenes

Is there a tutorial on how to change the open surge cutscene?

Re: Cut scenes

The open surge cutscene is really a huge undertaking when you consider the amount of work that went into it.  I would suggest you start with studying the code in the .obj file and then studying the thread on the forum that was all about its creation.  It is really quite a complex object, so if you don't have roughly the object building experience of SilverstepP I would suggest avoiding it until you've gotten you 'fangs' on more friendly undertakings.

If I knew then what I know now I'd tell you that the story's true.  Cause whatever you do, it comes back to you.  -Slaughter, Burning Bridges

It's difficult. Learn how the functions and commands work and work your way up to it. A cutscene requires many objects reacting at precision timing, along with several other factors.

Re: Cut scenes

think of a cutscene like a movie storyboard:

having this planned is easier for a begginer to structure a cutscene, and then know which objects need to be created, and what they can do, it's like making a game or a level where everything follows a straight line rather than having the player interact.

Where exactly did those drawings come from?

Re: Cut scenes

Google image search, term "storyboard". I don't know the actual source.
