Example: You're riding a really good rollercoaster. At the top of the coaster it stops so you can take in the vista of what awaits you.
Example 2: Say that you're facing a boss in the pit of some sort with curved sides down to the arena. Add a few almost at the top to stop the player from escaping no matter how hard he tries.
Another example would be magnetic floors that affects the player the more collectibles he posesses.

Both are interesting ideas, and as far as I can see both are programmable via object script.

My thought was to have such objects included in the game, and maybe even in a few different versions such as different friction types, direction depending friction and so forth.
