Yes, that's right, the demo of Mechanical Marathon's 1st and 3rd zones is here!

A few notes to keep in mind:

-The objects in this game probably will not work with Open Surge's official releases. Don't just paste an object into the game and expect it to not have errors, since my objects are engineered to recognize my characters.

-In Urban Rush, to get out of the pit you may get stuck in (you'll figure out the one), you must wall-kick. You wall-kick by pushing a wall and hitting the 'up' button while you're still pushing the wall. The idea is once you hit 'up', press down on the other direction and you'll get great momentum. If all else fails, you can just do a Jump Dash (hit jump again after a jump) and use that momentum to get out.

-The electric generators you see require you to do targeted lightning. That is activated by holding up while not moving, and pressing and holding the jump button. As you hold it down, a cursor is shown indicating where the lightning will strike. This can go through walls, so use it to your advantage! See the first picture for an example.

-While surfing in Briney Beach, you can do damage while jumping in the air. As a matter of fact, you're 'strong' while on the board, and can damage pretty much anything no matter what you do. Keep this in mind while fighting off the Jetfires.

-You can't jump in the minecart.

-Watch the Silver Metal Drones. They can slash you for damage if you time a jump on them wrong.

-[b]DO NOT USE TARGETED LIGHTNING WHILE IN WATER.[/b] Trust me. It's a bad idea.

-Briney Beach is kind of incomplete at the moment; act 2 is very small, and it has no boss quite yet, Updates will contain this.

-Keep in mind that there are special gold and blue emblems hidden in levels that award you a nice 10,000 points each.... and maybe unlock something (or some[i]one[/i]) in the near future!

-The barricades in Urban Rush can't be broken by the character you're playing as.

-The spring near the end of Urban Rush is activated by striking it with lightning. You need to jump on it fairly fast before it runs out of it's charge.

-You'll recognize the first boss. :rolleyes: But don't let your guard down. He has a different attack that you probably won't expect.

-[i]Have fun[/i]. That's the whole point of this game. ;)

Updates to the demo are coming soon, but I'm probably taking a break from it for right now. If there's any bugs, please let me know! :D

EDIT: Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Try using targeted lightning on the Metal Drones. You will laugh.]]></description>

Story: Dr. Eggman is tired of Sonic and his friends foiling his plans over and over. So he decides to destroy Sonic one and for all with a new battle ship that has the ability to cloak itself: the Cloud Fortress. Eggman thinks if he can't outrun Sonic, he can simply attack him unseen. To lure Sonic into a trap, he captures a hedgehog named Ashura. Sonic of course, falls for it. However, on the Coastal Paradise, when the Cloud Fortress is on its way to Technopolis City, the cloaking device malfunctions, revealing itself.Sonic discovers that he's walking into a trap. He realizes he'll need help on this quest. And so, he calls his friends: Tails and Knuckles, and they venture off to find out what Eggman is really up to...

A disaster ridden city. This results in small amount of water as well as bent roads forming nice ramps to preform jumps.(not done)

The Hub:
A digital... place. A small in-between area after each zone.

Some months ago I was beginning to do a simple level based on blue ocean, and it converted to a bigger project, that I have called 'The new game'. 
Now, the project is  in beta, but it can be played very well. The quest is integrated by 7 levels:
* the new zone. Act 1
* the new zone. Act 2
* the new zone. Act 3
* hill top. An unique act
* sonix. Act 1
* sonix. Act 2
* hedgehog land

the first level is some deep, I mean, it has miles of caves and galleries. It can be edited. The second level is quick and easy. It hasn't a lot of enemies or traps, almost it's only jump n' run. The third level is the boss. It is a few longer than the blue ocean boss. It  have a little surprise, if you see it.  The fourth level, hill top, is the easiest of all. By the way, I like it. The next level on the quest is sonix. It is longer than the lasts 3 levels. The music shows the mistery environment of the level, like the background. The sixth in the list is sonix act 2. It's shorter than the act 1 and lonely. The last level is hedgehog land, the 2nd boss.

This pack contains Lush Path Zone. This zone has been unrevealed until now... so it should be a new experience for everyone!

Try to find the ban hammer to get rid of those pesky spam blocks... they get in the way of a lot of shortcuts and items that can help you. However... they are usually hidden extremely well.

Includes BETAS of objects I've been working on... skydive objects, fans, the noise platforms (unused), and a custom boss in act 3 (you should find it... interesting. >:-) ) There's a lot and I have to write tutorials for them, but heres the basic concept:

-Skydive On turns on Skydive mode, Skydive off turns it off. Look in levels to see how I did it. (Though they intersect and cause you to just flip down in this case)

-Noise platforms are switched by... switch. Blacks and Whites are synched together and switch without touching a switch.

-Bosses are triggered through boss arenas.

That should at least give you a fairly general idea.

Act 1 seems pretty empty right now (will be fixed), but act 2 should give you plenty to worry about. Act 3 is a boss act.
