Check out the new Story & plans page. It covers the 1P Game Mode and it reflects our vision of what the game will look like on version 1.0 (levels, characters, gameplay issues, etc.).
You asked, we made it! Tails has a new move: he is able to pick up the other characters and carry them around.
I had read on the Internet people saying that current games give too much importance to graphics and lack creativity. While old games featured very creative levels (like Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2), nowadays most games let us play in “boring” places like Africa, New York City, Rio de Janeiro, etc. Fair enough. Well, I was having dinner with my dad the other day (and drinking coke) when I suddenly had this idea: let’s make an original level about Soda Pop!!!

Soda Pop
You know, coke may be bad for your teeth, but it’s good for your imagination!
Anyway, I just made a sketch of it. The “Soda Pop Zone” would fit in the second level of the 1P game mode. This picture was taken using the webcam of my netbook (since I don’t have a scanner). I apologize for my poor drawing skills, but I’m a programmer, not a graphic artist. If you think you can draw much better than me, then join the project team as a graphic artist. =P
As you can see, there is soda pop everywhere. Some bottles have so much gas that the liquid inside just blows up! (wow, that’s dramatic). There are many giant bottles in the far background and there is also a river of soda pop (with a few empty giant bottles floating around). It’s so cool that I’d never need to buy coke at the supermarket again!
I really think that Soda Pop Zone is a good idea. Unfortunately, we can’t turn this into reality without a graphic artist.
Let’s make this dream come true. Help us on the project!
